What if I accidentally put my card through the washing machine?
Modern Visa debit cards are reasonably resilient to moisture, but significant water damage or extreme heat (e.g. a dryer cycle) may damage the chip or the card face.
If your card appears damaged after being washed:
- Test the card at a contactless terminal — if the chip still works, the card is functional.
- If the card is demagnetised or the chip is damaged and the card no longer works, apply for a replacement via Wallet → Manage Account → Card Replacement in the app.
Note: Replacement cards may be issued with a new serial number. A replacement fee of SGD 18 may apply. See FAQ 6.04.
