What if the ATM swallows my card overseas?
If an ATM retains your card overseas:
- Step 1 — Note the bank name, ATM location and time of the incident.
- Step 2 — Immediately lock your card via the app: Wallet → Manage Account → Lock Account.
- Step 3 — Contact the local bank that owns the ATM and request card retrieval or report the incident.
- Step 4 — Email account@aletaplanet.com or call Visa’s Global Service Hotline at +1 800 847 2911 to report the card as retained and request a replacement.
Your virtual card remains active for online spending while you arrange a replacement physical card.
